That is a compliment indeed!
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

With 4 EL84s in there, it should not take too much persuading to get some nice overdrive going.

I think they were consolidating a container, I wasn't too worried as it suited me to get it after I had moved house. I got regular updates on progress as well

that's typical rockshop shipping time. I was going to order something years ago that they didn't stock and they told it it could be up to 6 mths because they only do orders when they have a full container to bring over. I get it from a cost saving point (and I get why they don't want to pass huge shipping costs onto the customer) but from a business sense it doesn't make any...safe to say I didn't make the purchase
If Less is More Then Just Think How Much More More would be

The idea of an ab763 with el84 is great
I think I was told that the older ac15 cc series (like the one is use live ) has some similarities to the ab763 preamp, obviously with el84 in the power amp section and that amp definitely has a 'fender flavour' to it.

Not so much "in the mail" but recently arrived: 1965 Fender Bandmaster with matching original 2x12" cabinet. Logo has since been relocated to the correct position. Had it looked over/serviced by Rectified Amps here in Wellington and it really sings. The cab came with some weird non original speakers so it's now sporting a Jensen C12Q and a Weber Alnico Signature 12s (thanks Bender!). I've also acquired the missing piggyback hardware so I can tilt it back safely. Sounds fantastic!

Can't beat the real thing. And it's got proper Fender type tubes in it I'll bet, not some weird EL84 schenanigans.
