What's the exact model mate ? Or website listing. That's a very good pric indeed! I want to get hold of them (Christchurch RS right ?) and see if they can do the same deal for me. Presumably any RS tho would be the same ?Molly wrote:Lone Star Special picked up from Rockshop's Garage Sale. Won't use the word 'only' in relation to the price as it pisses some folk off but at $2,000 it was a lot less than the original sticker price of $3,400 somethin' or other. Seemed like great value to me anyway. All original packaging etc. and not a shop-soiled mark on it. Cheers to Stewie at RS, Christchurch.

It's the Lone Star Special 112 combo. The Special has an EL84 power section and is 30w.StrummersOfThunder wrote:What's the exact model mate ? Or website listing. That's a very good pric indeed! This is the link I originally posted to their clearance 'Garage Sale' event:
http://www.rockshop.co.nz/shop/clearanc ... rder=price
My amp was due to arrive down from Auckland after the promotion ended but they said they'd honour the price. In the end I paid before it landed just to save any complication and because I was a bit concerned someone might buy it through the website before I ever saw it.

Didjabuyit?????!!!!!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

There are blessings to be had when a collector of fine guitars gets bitten by the vintage Indian motorcycle bug.

Don't I know it. I've been down that road. Old Harley Shovelhead that spent most of its life in bits... Not going there again.Slowy wrote:
