Amp Splitter/ ABY Switch: What are the good and cheap ones?
Any recommendations from those who play multi-amp setups?
I am just gonna use it at home so the cheaper, the better.
Also, is there a way to find out if i will need a phase reversal feature? Or should I look for this feature straight away?
Thanks Team.

do you have a pedal with stereo outputs? that is one one to test it out, one output to one amp and the other to the second amp.
I use a switchblade plus which seem to pop up cheap quite often. It doesn't have phase or ground lift but it works great for my high gain set up..no noise issues at all now, had a lot of problems initially but found the problem was with my cab not the amps

I used to reply to this question with:
Radial bigshot ABY v1 can be had relatively cheap on reverb.
But it looks like that's not true anymore, especially with current exchange rates.

Regrettably I have had little success with cheaper splitter solutions. Used a Radial for a while but there was always some hum which I couldn't eliminate.
Moved on to a Lehle and no noise whatsoever. Currently running a Palmer as it was the only easy option for running three amps. Also no noise issues.
Having phase reversal is handy, ground lift, essential. Things get complicated when you have a powered board and maybe some effects in a loop from the amp. Grounds akimbo....

yeah. found one on TM $190; brand new though. Well if theyr'e that good, should be worth it right?JHorner wrote:I used to reply to this question with:

I had one of them radial loopers a decade ago and seem to remember it being really sturdy.
But yeah, still will entail a lot of cash.

I'll sell you mine for a hundred. I'm not doing stereo amps right now.mugamee wrote:yeah. found one on TM $190; brand new though. Well if theyr'e that good, should be worth it right?JHorner wrote:I used to reply to this question with:

Try contacting Peper's Pedals on Facebook. He built me an ABY box with bi-colour LEDs and a high quality hot-pink paint job for way cheaper than anything else out there.

Totally recommend this guy if you ever want a clone of anything built, very reasonable rates and a nice dude. I have an OCD clone from him that kicks ass
