This. This is the thing that must be done.

Cheers team NZG

The output of the pedalboard is too 'hot' for the amplifiers input.

I will be disassembling my pedalboard into 2

Ok
Didn’t know that was a thing

Wondered about that. That’s why the question about whether the input had some limiter on it. Did you figure out which pedal is boosting it so much?

I'm picking it's the Diamond Compressor.

Although it's not entirely clear cut  because

Bass - Comp - Amp works
Bass - Tuner- Comp - Amp works
Bass - Flanger - Tuner- Comp- Amp works
Bass - EQ- Flanger - Tuner - Comp - Amp works

Bass - EQ- Flanger - Tuner - Filter - Comp - Amp does not work, however the Amp works just the Comp won't switch on . It will continue the signal through though

FUCKED IF I KNOW

There is only 1110 combinations of pedal order to try as well.

Edit

The above post was always through the amp input
I assume everything is still useable through either amps effect loop

So your only combo with six pedals doesn’t work? Power supply issue/ daisy chain?

It's the Sadowsky Pre-Amp that's clipping the Amp input

However (as before) it works fine on its own into the Amp input and as part of the board going through the Amp's effects loop.

I can run 5 pedals off one power slot (via daisy chain) then add in on seperate power slots the Wounded Paw and Tech-21 chorus straight into the Amp input sweet.

So I need to solve a couple of things here. Plan A won't work which was running the Diamond Comp on 9v batteries.

Again thanks for the help NZG Team

Turning down the volume on passive basses brings other issues.

Sgt M's advice was patching the effects loop

While this didn't work I did find out when I forgot to take the patch out that the Bass tone was markedly different.

(Passive Bass). It's fair to say I know Sweet FA about electric workings

I'm really interested in this, and I'm sure it's really frustrating for you. Is the Sadowsky on board the bass, or is it a pedal preamp? You didn't mention it in your signal chain with the pedals.

Sorry I thought I had typed out the pedal list

It's the Sadowsky pre-amp DI pedal, I had the original pre but it only ran on batteries so I traded it for what I have now.

I might have a look inside to see if it has any internal trims
It can run on a 9v battery
