Serious - beeg’s AC15 sounded good at lower volumes the other night. It’s huge tho, so might not fit the bill. But for less than a slap up binge at the Langham, it’s a good option.

Not really a grab and go amp, more of a grab and hernia.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Another vote for the AC10, they're a killer little amp by all accounts!olegmcnoleg wrote:AC 10 maybe? The AC4 is great but it needs a bigger speaker.

Re: NAD - Supro 1605r
That's funny: As I was reading this thread whilst on the bus this morning I saw a guy walking up the street carrying a Vox Amp Box (I assume with a Vox amp in it). It was a smaller box, about the size of an AC4 box. My first thought was: That's a sign!AiRdAd wrote:Rockshop have got their Supro amps on sale... It's a sign!!!!
It seems there are signs wherever you look. But that's ok because we usually notice only the ones that align with our personal views.

Excuse me Mr Oleg, but the AC10 has a 10" speaker and the AC4 a 12" speaker!olegmcnoleg wrote:AC 10 maybe? The AC4 is great but it needs a bigger speaker.

I've had an AC10, didn't like the digital reverb and I didn't think the master volume control was that good, ie. you couldn't really crank it and keep it at home volumes very well.

Hmmm, it seems some of them do, some of them don't: http://www.voxamps.com/ac4tvConway wrote:Excuse me Mr Oleg, but the AC10 has a 10" speaker and the AC4 a 12" speaker!olegmcnoleg wrote:AC 10 maybe? The AC4 is great but it needs a bigger speaker.

Eeeek, those little cream coloured TV ones don't really count!!! The AC4C1 is the proper AC4. With a 12" speaker.

I can’t say...never played one.Conway wrote:Grant, what are your thoughts on the AC4 with 12” speaker?
I’ve talked about the Pro’s for the 1605R...there are a few cons.
- JJ tubes. These rattle at higher volume. Some people dfon’t care. I do.
- The power cord angle is weird. Not a big deal though, but you do need to be careful as may put pressure on the cord housing.
- Access to the tubes is very difficult.
That’s all. Press BUY NOW.
