High gain amp reccomend
Hi all
Looking for at least something to sit on top of my cab
So options
Peavy 6505+
Blackstar Ht100
Laney Irt 60
Engl Screamer
Marshall DSL 100
I'm pretty sure most of you guys have had and tried some of these any pros cons ect
The Laney seems to give the best value with options
Any other suggestions
Cheers

Probably something that can utilise the bootleg for hair metal
And the chapman for drop tuning
So really a metal amp as such

Mark V is a great amp. Covers a lot of ground, from magnificent clean cleans to full on face melting.

Mark V is a swiss army knife of awesome, and sound awesome even in the low wattage setting!

There's been the odd Single Rec Mesa floating around on TM, worth considering.

Those combos are huge unwieldy and heavy beasts of things!Olderama wrote:I suppose I could get the 6505 combo and have change left for another guitar
And still hook up the 1x12 to my 4x12

Not really a problem if it's just going to sit on top of a cabinet and not be moved though.jeremyb wrote:Those combos are huge unwieldy and heavy beasts of things!Olderama wrote:I suppose I could get the 6505 combo and have change left for another guitar
