After some Delay recommendations that has a good price point, pretty versatile and doesn't suck tone like my Joyo D-seed.

This. I'm onto my second one of these. I scooped it for a bargain, but there were two on trade me recently for $130, which is a nice price.

Alternatively, Boss DD-7 and TC Electronic Flashback are in a similar vein in terms of features and price points, if versatility is your thing.

TC Electronic Flashback gets my vote for versatility, normally a few on TM every week or so.

Toneprint does offer a dimension of versatility above and beyond - essentially gives you a preset kind of thing, but not quite.
