bad news, we're going to the Coromandel this weekend
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

I installed the new tubes in my Vox and its still cutting out, it's been serviced recently so it shouldn't be a major maybe the rectifer tube? either way I've taken it to my tech and asked for it to be done by the 20th so fingers crossed.

Sometimes the retaining clips in the tube sockets get a little splayed with all the wriggling of tubes in and out. As the metal gets older it doesn't quite spring back. You can prise them back together with a pin but it's a prick of a job. Watch the power as well.

Thanks for the advice, I wish I had the time to learn all the in's and out's of tube amps so I could fix it myself, anyone know of any good books on tube amps.
What kind of guitars are we bringing, mine are pretty useless, a cheap $700 Jimmy Vaughan Strat and a Les Paul standard. Have you got your Timbuckers yet Goldtop??
