Specifically its one particular gentleman, the Peavey tech who is useless. I have the misfortune of working within a few metres of him most days...

The local Musicworks? As a young fella and a man of leisure (ie a student), I get the feeling that every time I walk in there, the old bloke thinks I'm either:
a) About to steal something, or
b) Already stolen something.

Was the shadow and a silhouette of what I thought I’d be
I don’t mind falling down and scraping up my knees
Scars and Stitches always fade and only strengthen me."

I'll tell you why Shearers is so good. They're a grade A pain in the butt. Very demanding and very fussy. Consequently they get a slightly stricter inspection from me and I suppose their other suppliers.
Haven't had much to do with Begg's Palmy. Maybe its an omen...

Ash - I complained about them online to PV, who sent them a copy of my complaint. Beggs contacted me to come in and see them. However, I can't see any point in confrontation anymore and won't be revisiting the store. They've blown it for PV as far as I am concerned and I shan't be dealing with them again. No need to go into it - just v.poor service and salespeople who don't know anything about their product.
The music industry in a small town relies on word-of-mouth. Beggs might be fine for pianos and brass instruments, but you won't find too many band members who'd recommend them.

It must be difficult to keep quality staff in music stores, especially outside of the main centres. You do see the good guys switching from store to store with the pay rises. There isn't any other way to get a pay rise!!
