I tried to take all of my stuff into the RS when I wanted to get all of the Boss pedals I have, and Kane (remember Kane) told me that the pedals would sound the same no matter which guitar and which amp they were through, and wouldn't take the pedals into the expensive amp room, and I just had to try them out on the shop floor through a stupid little combo.

Mesa also uses superior components like knobs and lights and jacks and switches etc. Marshalls of later years have had some reliability issues because of this. A buddy of mine had his TSL2000 stop channel switching on him in the middle of a gig. Very annoying. And pretty expensive to repair he found out. Especially considering it shouldn't have required a repair in the first place if it was built properly.

I'd recommend the Mesa Road King. Man, that is one versatile amplifier. Yep, it's damned pricey but worth it in my book. I'm saving for one. It may take me a few years to save.
