At least, I noticed something. But I wasn't paying that much attention.

Whatever it was, I'm sure it's fabulous. Thank you. Xxx

The vu meters. They didn't come with a setup file so back down to one.

Had a play with the Torpedo cab simulator you put up bender. Not a bad tease.(the free one has one mic and one cab) I do like a real speaker and mic though.
A sure cure for seasickness is to sit under a tree.

Yeah, I quite like that Torpedo plugin. I've been using it to make voices sound like they're coming from a stereo or telephone. The other one I use all the time for sound design is izotope vinyl.

That would be a site name change as opposed to a forum name change, forum being a component part of the site. The site is a collection of 'forums' which are then split into sub-forums, threads and posts. The word forum to describe the site is therefore a misnomer. kthxbye.

Not free but really cheap at US$50, Valhallroom is a great reverb.

Avid are currently giving away a Softube Saturation plugin, but it's AAX so Pro Tools 10 only, might even be Mac only.

Massey Plugins (Pro Tools only I think) do some good ones that are cheap but you can use them in demo mode for free, they just don't support bypass and reset when you close the session. They also do some handy actually-free utility plugins, the talkback one is a lifesaver.

Otherwise from memory the only free plugins I have were limited time offers, Pod Farm and two Soundtoys saturation plugins.

Copy and past the .dll file into your VST folder?

nah Massey works on Logic too. Got a great tape saturation plug-in of theirs that I use on virtually ALL drum tracks I record and mix. Sounds great with mastering too. I think it's called tapehead

The only problem is that a lot of the free plugins aren't great. They take an immense amount of coding and people/companies that build them usually want to be compensated. I did find a few relatively decent freebies a while ago, so I'll look them up and grab some links to post here.
