Have you tried those the other way around? Supertron makes a great bridge pickup and magnetron seems like a logical neck pickup.

Then if you like them, get some nickel covers or scour the gold off those ones

Not a bad idea, and one I hadn’t thought of.
I like both of them actually although the Supertron is a bit smooth and jazzy for my tastes but you could be right about it working well in the bridge.

But still let me know if you want to sell the Classic!

Bens suggestion is on the money. Supertron in the bridge will give some herbs to the tone. More midrange and push for an amp to feed on.

Have just swapped the pickups and it worked very well!
Although I’m playing at very quiet (7:30am) volume levels through my 5e3, it certainly has made the neck position more clear and the bridge is thicker. Volume difference seems to be ok to.
