Stolen Gibson ES-175 and other equipment

Post by niceguyollie »

Hey guys, this band in Wellington had some of their gear stolen just the other day.

-Black 50 watt Holden amp with a tremolo
-Black AER 60 amp
-Peavey speaker cabinet
-1980 ES-175 Gibson
-Microphone 58
-Miscellaneous assortment of leads

Here's a link to their blog:

Can't imagine there are a huge number of ES-175s floating around NZ, so keep an eye out for it.

Sorry to hear about this. Eye's peeled, at least for the Gibson....

That's sad news, but they're not doing much to help themselves. The pictures of the stolen guitar appear to be a 175 and a 125(?). No serial numbers mentioned.

However by stamping 'second' on the headstock, Gibson appears to have had a rare moment of honest appraisal. :P I remember an interview with Slash who claimed his favourite Les Paul was one stamped second that he rescued from the factory.
Maybe this is a hot Gibson collectors tip. :D
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
