Tone Clips - bass pedalboard

Post by sirvill »

Dunno where this is meant to go, so it can go here I guess.

if anyone was wondering, this is what some of the stuff on the bass pedalboard sounds like. Rig is:
Squier VM Jaguar Short Scale bass (P pickup) -> tuner -> EHX Pitchfork -> Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom -> Boss BF-3 -> Digitech Digidelay -> Ampeg SCR-DI -> Recorded direct into the interface. Run with a Joyo looper but that won't effect much

Clip goes:

1) Bass straight through
2) Bass with SCR-DI preamp activated (no scrambler, just tone stack)
3) Bass with SCR-DI and Algal Bloom
4) For the lolz, bass with SCR-DI, Algal Bloom, Pitchfork doing dry, octave up and octave down, and BF-3

This Algal Bloom is a madman!

Also, I like a bit of buzz and clank for extra meaness but I think this is a bit too much (tuned down to C# on standard strings) so I think I'll go up a gauge (although finding heavy strings for short scale bass is harder than one would think.

Nice! I like the all-in madness! Think you're right about the heavy strings though.
