Luvely, so you play it upside down then to get the Jimmy tone?

Have to come and check out that shed place in Morningside

That's a pretty young thing. What materials have you used?

No I'm literally left handed. It's a left handed guitar.

Strung conventionally? So you can play both left and right strung guitars?

Pedal board project:

Image

Idea is to have tuner and 2 of 5 drives on the the top with the carbon copy, with a Gigrig QMX6 on the top level with the GA-FC, 2 CS7's and the other 3 drives on the bottom.

Might bring the top down a little bit and make the sides the same angle/length as the top. Not sure if im going to close in the top or not.

Definitely a prototype. When i get to final idea, i might do it in something other than mdf, but prob will end up being mdf lol.

Also get someone with a table saw to cut it all up, dont think my work bench is all that square lol

I wouldn't worry about it. My table saw isn't that square! Though it is quick :)

Todays winding effort, I have named them George and Mildred for some strange reason, probably from years of british tv abuse.

These are my very first winding efforts, took me 10 years to build the winder lol, now the first born. After a few broken wire attempts I am getting the hang of this I think,...well good enough to not break the wire anyway.

They are approx. 2.5k coils with an A5 magnet in the top half only. The lower coil will be a dummy coil and is reverse wound.

Yes there is mistake on the right hand one, start should have been winder down , not up.

Very nice, so one coil per string yes? What are the dimensions?

Thanks JP. Yes they are for the 5th and 6th strings of my experimental box guitar (Foodhover Deluxe). Here is the drawing and a quick layout to give you an idea. I will be building my own 6 string pickups based on the jazz master size, but with a P90 design and dummy coils....lots more work to do. Then there is the wiring to think about.

Bits for the parts bass build arriving daily! Whole bunch of hardware and Obsidianwire wiring the other day. Neck arrived yesterday. Body should be here Monday, and the remaining key bits at any moment. Looking forward to putting it all together!

Ozito scroll saws (with more than enough depth to do a guitar body) for $129 at Bunnings just saying. I know Ozito is a bit rubbish but i've got one of their palm sanders thats lasted 8 years of work and is still going strong.
