Work in progress...
No-one has a name on this one yet, had some pine left over from another job, had some tweed left over from another job, had some grille cloth left over from another job... So yeah
5E3/Tweed deluxe sized head shell - will be in tweed, maybe reliced, not sure yet.
Usual specs - pine, 5E3 sized cutout, I'm sure lots of other amps would fit - we put a pro junior in the last cab I made! Dovetailed corners.
Anybody looking for this or something similar, drop me a pm. This will end up on tardme/facebook otherwise.

I get the feeling you're really in your happy place when you're on the tools.

Re: Work in progress...
I've been scouring the internet for a suitable modern high gain mini/micro head just so I can justify getting you to build a 1x12 for me
Won't be a while yet (moving house costs etc) but expect an order at some point...

Nice work beeg. Finger joints, or dove tails, or bit of both?

Re: Work in progress...
Plywood is always going to be finger joints. The breakout with a router can be spectacular - I made a new jig for my table saw which makes finger joints less problematicGrantB wrote:Nice work beeg. Finger joints, or dove tails, or bit of both?
Pine can be either, I prefer dovetails for being inherently stronger. The tweed head above is dovetails, I do prefer them, just because they're always going to have that strength added by the wedge aspect. But finger joints give greater gluing surface so... swings and roundabouts

Another one being covered in western tolex and a blackface tweed head has reached tolexing too
My diary will be fulfilled by next week I reckon. I'm back to the uk for my dads birthday (and paris and eire) but if you want stuff doing, pm me. I'm happy to do retolexing or just tolexing and at the moment its at hobby prices. It won't stay that way so get in now.
