New cab builds
Had a mental health day today, so down in the workshop this arvo building a finger jointing jig for my router table. So can offer box joints or dovetails now. Its weird spending time building jigs as I always think of it as wasted time - however they save time _sigh_
Its a question of aesthetics as either joint should be as strong - though I think dovetails have the edge as they are a wedge too. Longer setup time for dovetails though.
Starting on another tweed deluxe cab - actually will do 2 this time as I may put one on the tard/visagelivre. Else it will be in stock if anyone has a need
A fender reverb cab... no surprise who that ones for
My ampeg svt head cab finally...
Anyway will keep updated with pics as progress occurs.

Re: New cab builds
You had to wait until just after I had pulled the trigger on a Mesa didn't you???
only joking, been seriously impressed by your most recent project and would have been on the verge of enquiring if I hadn't just grabbed that cab. Maybe a 2nd cab later

Re: New cab builds
Got some time this weekend - so have started the Tweed deluxe cab (for one of our members here).
Nice clear pine, have to go through the entire stack to get some that isn't cupped or warped - thats ok, got 2 pieces.
Test joint - nice and toight but a bit of a gap at the top, no problem - it wasn't square.
Proper joints - wrapped in masking tape for routing, no breakout
All sides done, all joints done.
Control panel cutout and rounded over to the 10mm radius spec.
Top and bottom facias cut and recessed, fitted to cab and the whole shebang is currently clamped and gluing

That's utterly ridiculous. But it would perfectly match a sea foam green amp.AiRdAd wrote:Can you please put me in line for one of these...
Aroused.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
