Jackson Ampworks for reference of inspiration, actually now I look at it, it's bugging me I didn't get the shape of the open bit right.....would I be crazy to peel off the tolex and remake the back panel?

Out of curiosity- what are you planning to do with the old headshell? And what are the internal dimensions?

(thinking it might be good for a reverb unit)

Because it was custom Built for the head I'll probably just put it in storage in case I need it or sell the amp.
