Ideally, as otherwise all the heat travels into the chassis. Also the labels will be backwards and the knobs will have a weird 0-10 sweep. You could do it though if you really really wanted.

Ideally, but big makers also use the same head chassis for combo's. Like 65Amps - all their smaller combos have the tubes horizontal.

I have this in a head now, and we have a purchaser.

No rush, not picking it up for a couple weeks…

I still have an MTB helmet light mounting bracket that Jb printed for me years ago. Excellent, it is.

Tony, have you been unfaithful to Bill again? You know how he reacts to that.

Just on this - you mean like almost all old amps? I think they thought you would "go round back and adjust it".

A sort of solution is to turn all knobs to zero. Then turn amp around to normal operation, i.e. you being in front of the amp. Loosen each knob set screw and relocate the knob to a new "normal" position. So you just have to read the knob upside down, but the knob operates like normal.

Lol, he’s going to whip it into shape for me, get the trem working etc, he just doesn’t know it yet!

I’ve actually been talking to him about putting an fx loop into Optimus, then I had wonderful ideas about him making the output stereo, but I’m over all that now, I’ll just do the wet dry wet thing for now and see how that goes…

I know Optimus's insides well. There's not much room in there.
