A mystery for you pedal techies.

Post by Slowy »

The challenge is to explain this; what it does and how it works. Has beaten better men than me.
I have named it The Inscrutable.
You will note the input and output jacks sitting either side of the guitar and amp jacks. This is very interesting and.....inscrutable.

It allows you to switch a "loop of effects" in an out of the chain. Boss had one with a power supply included.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Thank you both. Will try that with the ZT which should survive if this thing is actually a bomb

So how did you come to be in possession of such an inscrutable device? Because if there is somewhere I can buy mystery pedals, I am all in.

Why on earth does a simple loop switcher need all that circuitry?

I have the Boss one, PS2 from memory, it can be used as a power supply source, loop switcher and a splitter it you put a jack plug the loop input(little trick I learned somewhere). I have used it with a Wah in the loop many times.
