This should sound... weird

Post by alanp »

Not pedals, but this is the closest, probably :)

http://www.frequencycentral.co.uk/?page_id=416

Got some boards and face panels from Rick Holt today, spent the evening stuffing the PCB's with what parts I had on hand.

Still have to order a Eurorack case, and a power supply. But then, I still have to order the rest of the parts for these, as well :)

Always wanted a modular synth, so this should be cracking good fun. Ben, you'd probably like the link :D

Tayda parts turned up :)

Just waiting on Smallbear, Chromesphere (for caps, he sells rilly rilly nice wunz), and Erthenvar (for 1900H knobs (IBJB) and 3.5mm jacks that don't suck.)

Annoyingly, I forgot to order parts for the multifx stoner pedal.

Smallbear parts turned up (largely pots, along with a couple CA3080 chips.)

Four of 'em are now mounted to the front panel, just missing 3.5mm sockets, knobs (IBJB)... oh, and a power supply, and a case. The money tree is a bit poorly, though.

Still need to paint the inlays for the plastic panel, and also order a bag of 79L05's from somewhere. I have no idea where. Possibly Mouser, but their shipping department hates my wallet.

Way cool, what are you going to mount them all in chassis wise?

Going to either get a rack case from Elby Designs in Oz, or a Doepfer LC9 case, depending on which is more economical.

Some more parts arrived today.

Got 'em from Erthenvar, along with the knobs (which have brass inserts for the set screw, really nice ones.)

Ordered parts to build my own PSU using the musicfromouterspace schematic. (I've got the perf and vero board lying around already, and I'm going to use the 12 VAC output on my Cioks.)

Still don't have any 1/8" patch cords or the 10 pin power cords, though.
