It does sound excellent that way with a vox, I cannot deny.
This is exactly how TS's should be used. And will sound excellent with damn near ANY decent amp

Does anyone have Dave's address? I won a Soul Food mod on TradeMe so I need to post my pedal up to him.

I've emailed him to ask for his address twice and there's nothing on his site that I can see that tells you where to send it ?! No reply from him as of yet.

Have you paid for it? Haven't some of the guys here had some bad experiences with him?

Haven't paid yet, won the auction yesterday so figured I'll put money through tomorrow seeing as nothing will clear this holiday weekend anyway. Just thought it odd seeing as he hasn't returned my emails, also put a comment on his auction which remains unanswered.

That would be me, it wasn't a modding trade. But he was a first class egg about it, spoke to him on the phone in case I was misreading the tone of the emails,,,, nope. He s someone I'd avoid.

I bought a wah pot from him a while back. Had to get trademe to contact him after a week or so.

My experiences with dexter mods were terrible. Bought a modded wah off him, when it arrived the pot was completely worn out, sent it back, he claimed it worked perfectly and wouldnt refund postage, he sent me another one, 2nd one was clearly broken, he insisted it "must have been my gear at fault", i eventually gave up trying to get a working product from him and learned enough about vox wahs to fix the problem myself. (turned out to be a faulty transistor). Both wahs he sent me were very obviously broken, yet he sent them out anyway.

Just on the side I've used Waylon McPherson a few times now. Turned my AC into an RC. Modded my DD2 to add analogue. Serviced and modded amps. He does a great job IMHO

+1 for good experience with Waylon. His BMP rebuilds are awesome.

Got my Soul Food back with the 'Wild Turkey' mod.

Kind of think it sounded better before, and there was also no battery put into the pedal as stated on the auction :|

Bit late to the party, but he totally ruined a delay pedal of mine a few years ago. I wont mention the brand as it's very embarrassing, however, he did profess to being a bit of shaman with this particular model. Anyway, it come back oscillating and hissing on every setting. Brilliant. So I sent it back to him and apparently it sounded fine to his ears. He charged me for postage and pretty much told me to bugger off. Learnt my lesson.
