Mttn3 hasn't posted for quite a while now. I have noticed Molly's absence recently... hope he's OK.

I imagine he's sick of people giving him shit about his gear turnover! :(

is he curled up in a ball somewhere? ... he brings it all on himself by posting every other day about new gear. Look at Danny, he never posts a NGD but he is constantly getting new stuff and selling stuff

So people should have to be ashamed of their purchases and keep them quiet like it's a dirty secret? I love seeing all the cool stuff he buys, I think there's often a bit of the big green giant in those who knock others...

Dude... not helping...

Yes, he doesn't have to post about every new gear. Obviously the sharing is part of his enjoyment. I have only met Brian a handful of times but when he talks about new gear it's always in a matter of fact manner, about his quest to become an honorary life member of the Golden Ear Brigade. I say that in the most respectful and appreciative way possible. It has never been about "Oh look at me! Check out my new gear!" I, for one, value his opinion.

Poor guy seems to be a bit thin skinned in that respect, I know while I'm laughing at his extraordinary gear turnover, its not in malice or at him - just at the sheer amount of gear that he buys more than once (or 4 times), its a shaking of the head thing. I'd like to see him back as its our loss not his.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Nice post. Everyone has the right to post up new gear - especially on a guitar forum. I enjoyed seeing what incoming gear Brian had on the way to him, I equally enjoyed seeing what was being sold. It’s not like he was in it for the $$, I suspect he’s much like me and apart from it being a passion and a hobby there’s something in the thrill of the chase. Personally I love trying to hunt something and seek that buzz I get when I finally get my hands on it; I suspect it’s probably a process that’s not miles apart from what addicts experience. Brian’s position in this forum was even cooler for me because 90% of the time it was all top-end gear - unobtainable for many of us here. I would imagine he’s taking a break for some reason, but I for one miss his gear posts.

Aww man... I really hope he turns up. This is the exact reason why I don't play in public. I can have all the flash gear, which I don't, and it'll be just like serving warm poo with cold sick sauce in my finest China bowl!

I'm all good, thanks. And thanks for the kind words in this thread. I'm just trying to spend less time online.
