schallers are good if you have one strap and many guitars and change them regularly like at a gig, just make sure that the nuts are always tight. 90% of my guitars have these.

If you're a one strap per guitar person, then there are better/cheaper/easier solutions. Mine involved bottles of Grolsch, but apparently you can buy these things now without doing the drinking (wtf?)

I'm thinking of doing a range of nzguitar straplock things when the 3d printer arrives ;)
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

I've got Schaller strap locks on most of my guitars and they work well.

The new S-locks are good with their additional locking bits so they don't become loose on the strap, they also dont rattle like the old version. The only issue is the screw & strap button are one piece and the screw is thinner than a normal Gibson screw.

The solution is to jam a toothpick into the hole so the screw bites, or use the button from the older schaller strap locks so you can use a different thicker screw.

Schaller also do an XL version of the S-lock buttons but I haven't seen them in New Zealand.

Dunlop push button are what I use. Great but the individual buttons are hard to find. Are the Schaller buttons easy to get hold of ?

Yes same - I have those in all my guitars - would like to have gold on this one - do you know if Dunlop makes them that way or they can interchange with schaller?

Rubber strap lock buttons are the best. You can buy them in packets of 10.

Mr Music in Nelson has them.

I would recommend the dimarzio / planet waves ones I have on all my guitars except the rattling when you play sitting down with the strap loose is way too annoying...
