Holy guacamole! How did I not realise he was donating the proceeds to charity? He is, isn't he? I only briefly read a bit of an article just moments ago.

Yep. Too old to spend the money he already has, so is doing this for others less fortunate than himself.

It was interesting to read why he was selling this and a couple of others in his collection, but they are just tools to do a job to him and he owned a replica of the black strat that had as so close he was happy to use that when needed.
