Wow. Haven’t read the article yet but didn’t it start at quite a crazy low US$100k?

Dave Gilmour, what a GC.

Yeah my autobid was only up to $2.5m, so I lost out on that one.

I'm looking forward to it arriving!

There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

I didn't bid because I'd have to spend another 3 to 4 hundred bucks getting it repainted Lake Placid Blue - stuff that.

I knew those estimates would be low but those figures are huge !
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Yeah, great though Gilmour's stature may be that's 3.975M someone's probably not going to see again.

Buyer owns a football team and personal wealth is well into the billions. 3.975 million is probably not a huge deal to him. Ratio wise it's probably like one of us normal chaps splashing out on a nice new pedal.

At least some folk will see their lives improve as a result.
And as a bonus, DG will have less gear so might be less inclined to make another solo album.

Holy guacamole! How did I not realise he was donating the proceeds to charity? He is, isn't he? I only briefly read a bit of an article just moments ago.
