NGD - 59 Stratocaster
Hello all!
Apologies for the late NGD! i have been busy enjoying it hahaha. So wrapped with this! always a gamble buying sight unseen in the flesh. Purchased from Cali.
Anyways.... heres the good stuff....
I also purchased a new case for when it leaves the house. As you can see the original one is well worn. I have it tucked away safe...
I have been told mostly original. I liked everything about this, as from what i can understand 59 was a transition year for a few features. This has the green guard. no neck date. from research i seen that in 59 (most of) neck dates were left off as someone in the factory wrote something obscene and got caught out!
Neck pick up was changed at a later date, theres a hole in the lower horn - can assume a lefty played it for awhile? one of the pots was changed and the strap buttons have been changed.
Enjoy! cheers.

That is lovely and I've yet to see a relic that can match that patina. I'm panting in a moist way.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

But i must agree. Ive owned many relics. and will still buy em. But yes, they don't quite capture the magic look and feel of a true OG.

Happy NGD and thanks for bringing that down here.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Ash body, Rosewood fretboard.
I've always preferred Rosewood/Alder in my head but my Ash bodied Strat sounds superb.
Maybe the 59 is the Strat I have been looking for?
