Let's talk about tele bridge rail pickups
I have 2 teles and wanting to transform one into a rock machine. Any rail bridge pickup will retain some of the twang? seems everyone love Chopper T.

What's in the Kotzen Tele? I reckon that retains some twang whilst being heavy-sounding.
Counter-intuitive as it may seem, the stock pickup in my old Nocaster Tele seemed to do everything. Could be as heavy as fuck.

I think the Kotzen Tele has the Chopper T?
Seymour Duncan Lil 59 is a nice in between option.
It’s a vintage ish modeled humbucker but it certainly gives a Tele bridge position some life!
I personally like a slightly overwound broadcaster single coil type bridge pickup over the humbucker options. Normally retains some twang but sounds grunnty too.

No idea what a bridge rail behaves like but I've got a RioGrande Dirty Harry (P90) in mine.

Re: Let's talk about tele bridge rail pickups
I had a DiMarzio Tone Zone rail in my Tele didn't like it at all. Too compressed and fizzy.
Switched to a little 59. Glad I did, it's an overwound PAF basically. Sounds awesome.
PAFs or P90s for rock, rails for metal imo. Ymmv

Re: Let's talk about tele bridge rail pickups
I have had a lil59 in a tele. It was a great sound a little nasal on it’s own, but stil raunchy and cutting like a Tele. Sounded wicked in a band situation as it left space for the bass and cut through in a high midrange sort of spot

The twisted Tele bridge is super hot...very rock!

Not sure mine could be called super high treble but it all comes down the guitar/amp etc...sum of all parts.

Re: Let's talk about tele bridge rail pickups
Another thumbs-up for the Lil'59 as a bridge pickup. Looks cool as single-coil sized humbucker, but does a decent split sound as well.

I like the SD quarter pounder or the fat.
or throw the telly away and get an ESP

There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.
