NGD: 1967 Gretsch 6120 Nashville
Well, the Les Paul was (perhaps unsurprisingly) short lived. Another member here and I decided that we actually had each other's guitars, so a swap was really the only logical option.
It's very exciting
Such a great logo

The red is nice, but man, that sunburst!!!

That burst guitar is pretty special. One gear fest I asked Ben what was so special about it and he went through it for me, very cool

You’re not wrong. The Anniversary is a great guitar- it’s been problematic to gig with though. The 6120 will definitely be coming along to BKS gigs instead.

Damn they look good together.
So pleased these are still in the family. I've had half a dozen vintage 6120's and this was/is the best. Well done Ben!

It's a sledgehammer; it punches holes in walls. I still have concussion from the Bollix.bender wrote:You’re not wrong. The Anniversary is a great guitar- it’s been problematic to gig with though.
And great swap guys; I've always thought Ben was as much a Les Paul guy as I am.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I’m so sorry about that! I forget how punishingly punchy it can be!Slowy wrote:It's a sledgehammer; it punches holes in walls. I still have concussion from the Bollix.bender wrote:You’re not wrong. The Anniversary is a great guitar- it’s been problematic to gig with though.

There was a huge disturbance in the Force over that LP purchase Ben, I'm glad the balance has now been restored.bender wrote:Well, the Les Paul was (perhaps unsurprisingly) short lived. There’s a very high likelihood that there will be a Les Paul with P-90s and a Bigsby somewhere in my future.olegmcnoleg wrote:There was a huge disturbance in the Force over that LP purchase Ben, I'm glad the balance has now been restored.bender wrote:Well, the Les Paul was (perhaps unsurprisingly) short lived.
