Rc2 loop problem..setting?

Hi all...before I set fire to it, anyone know how to stop the drums playing and not recording (no matter what setting it's on??)..I know i can turn it down, but it won't do anything else other than play drums over and over...The issue it's suck being a drum machine, not a looper. How do I get it back to looping? Thanks in advance
