Service/setup

Post by Sinbad343 »

Hi all! I'm fairly new around here but I've lurking for long enough...

Would anybody be able to recommend someone in the Christchurch area who could give a couple of my guitars a much-needed service and setup? To be honest this is probably long overdue, and I think the skills of a pro would breathe some life back into 'em!

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers

Just curious - what is the cost of a setup? <$100? More? I know it depends on what needs doing, but say for neck adjust/intonation etc?
I want all the pedals!

Last one I had was restring, intonation, bit of fret levelling, and around $80 from memory :)

Yeh that's about right: I took two guitars so he could give them a good looking over, and it ended up being $75 for setup, intonation, neck/truss rod adjustment (I think), and replacing the output jack on one of them. Didn't need new strings or any fretwork though.
Definitely money well spent! (Plus he has some cool model ships!)
