Gretsch G6128T-1962 aka Duo Jet DC
So my GAS and quest for a Gretsch sounding guitar, (even seriously considering modding my Fano to add filtertrons and a bigsby, now I can even keep it) finally ended with this
time to start learning those Malcolm Young riffs

That’s a Compton for sure.KNNZ wrote:cheers guys!
the bridge is a brass upgrade, I thought it was a compton as well but the seller told me he thinks its a Tru-Arc
Great Bridges, as are Tru-Arcs. I’ve had both on my Gretsch and settled on a stainless steel Tru-Arc because they have better tuning stability under heavy bigsby abuse. They have a curved base meaning they rock with the bigsby movement, where Compton bridges have a flat base, meaning that the strings have to move over the bridge saddle. I’m a chronic bigsby abuser so that made a big difference for me.

Gorgeous!
Now you can forget about molesting that poor Fano.
Now you can forget about molesting that poor Fano.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: NGD
The Compton bridges are really great too. And way cheaper. I wouldn’t bother with changing it unless you have trouble with tuning stability or want to try a different material.KNNZ wrote:Interesting about the curved based!
