There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Might just be me and Conway but PRS generally seem to be at the top of my list. Where we differ is Gibson is up there as well for me.

When I was 12 my dad bought my my first proper electric, a '92 MIJ Jackson Dinky. Amazing guitar, still have it and I'll never sell it.
Most of the bands I liked growing up (Metallica/Megadeth) played Jacksons so I always wanted one. And every Jackson I've owned/played has been top notch, mostly Jap made ones. Pretty keen to get a USA Jackson next.
I bought one last night! :-)
Really! What did you buy?

For me Jackson is number 1, however I've recently been digging Ormsby guitars.
They're a close 2nd.

Jebus, that's had a hard life. But still a score, though.

I remember his NOT guitar, with a good chunk of the upper frets missing for the big "NOT" logo. I guess it made sense as a rhythm guitarist, kind of like Max Cavalera only putting 4 strings on his guitars. A bit silly though.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Buddy of mine has a Jackson Kelly from the late 80's, he's had it since new, beautiful guitar, always wanted one since Rust in Peace...

It'll clean-up to some extent I'm sure. Maybe new pots too. Looking forward to it. But, yes, you're right, it's certainly 'player-grade'...
