I've caught tetanus just looking at the pictures of those frets!

Looks like the previous owner has been bbq'ing ribs on the fretboard.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Re: Favourite Guitar Company
that's rock n roll right there
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Re: Favourite Guitar Company
I like all kinds of Guitars, but by far feel most at home on Gibson. They feel right for me as long as it is not a super duper chunky neck thing. I play more when i have a Gibson. Much more. I do not know why. i just do.
I am keen to get a Strat with the old profile that has a narrow neck and quite rounded radius. That is because I figure it will be easier to fret notes with the thumb on those. Gibson necks seem nice to me for playing licks, but never work for that Hendrix thing where he used his thumb. i must have little Trump hands.
I like Zoot Suit SGs too. Those things are so cool. Would not be my first or even second choice, but if I had the budget for a few gats, one of them would be nice to have. I would like to see one in person, because I suspect photos do not quite do them justice.

Re: Favourite Guitar Company
The Fender neck you describe sounds like a 69 profile to me. Quite rounded and easy for thumb-over chords.Aquila Rossa wrote:I like all kinds of Guitars, but by far feel most at home on Gibson. I like big butts, and I cannot lie
You other brothers can’t deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face you get sprung..
Wise words from that most excellent member of the peerage, Sir Mixalot. It’s important to know what you like.

Re: Favourite Guitar Company
I find it easier to develop real passion for acoustics than I do for electrics. I've named Lowden as my favourite guitar company and that's unlikely to change. But I've been getting to know an acoustic visitor over the last few weeks which keeps surprising, astonishing and giving every time I play it.
So a close second favourite: PRS.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
