Now , I've been surious about this 'classic 60s' Japan line.
What's the neck profile like ? Have they needed it up ? Traditionally the Jap fenders had a very shallow squashed C profile.
Congrats. She's lovely.
Neck just a tad bigger than the Mexican Tele.
Pickups are vintage output, really nice clarity compared to the beefier Mexi pups.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

When you say 'bigger' you mean more substantial depth? Like a deeper C ?
I wasn't take much notice to be honest, it just felt more solid in the hand, its very similar to my SG neck size wise when I grab one then the other. Fender call it a slim C.
It has skinny frets so it feels different to the Mexi anyway. The Mexi was a Maple board too.
I just preferred the feel and sound of the guitar over the Mxi and I wanted an ashtray bridge
