Saw one model there that doesn't have the thin neck. Disappointing.
Liking the look of the classic though.

Not interested in anything they make now, unless they start doing maestro tailpiece SG Customs, with ebony boards, and at non ridiculous prices. Until then, they may as well be Samick to me.

SG standard and the Explorer look great.

But that's only because they look like an SG Standard and an Explorer. The motivational posters hung up around the Gibson offices should read "Don't fuck with shit that people already dig"

Will the 2018 offerings be enough to pull them out of thr shit... ? It seems there are some awfull big loans to be paid back in full very soon and with the domestic public traditional Gibson player/ buyer diselusioned with not only the product but the company and service as a whole, things are not looking good. Fender is also in a similar position but not as bad $$ wise and probly have a better relationship with their customers. Old Henry the Gibson CEO sounds like a right fokhed. Was reading how lots of the workforce have moved on. Alot of them have been long termers. Not ideal.

One thing's for sure. If Gibson can't make it work, venture capitalists will sweep in and try. Gibson is like Mustang or Jeep: American modern heritage. Customer interest will never end. No ESP or PRS can eclipse having the real thing.

Hmm... dunno. There is alot of ill-feeling towards Gibson and their product all across the net at the mo. The value for money is def not there at all either. And its been happing for quite a few years now. With the cost of a new Gibson how cant they be making money ? Will be an intetsting 2018 for them. The used market is ramping up now. Even in the last 12-18 months. I think its set to get stronger.
