Don't mind the shape, it's quite cool. I'm not that keen on the superfluous plastic plates.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Unless you like visible chambers - the plastic plates are essential! (and not plastic, I believe brushed aluminium?)

I'd rock one of these.

Yep brushed aluminium. And I quite like it personally. Not sure which of the limited colours really jumps out, but like the sounds the Railhammers seem to get (and Rev necks are always a winner).
Don't need it at all, but if one swims by at a great price...

Weird choice for a signature guitar, he's not dreadfully relevant these days....

Aha - I didn't realise they had a chamber underneath. And aluminium would look better. I thought it was white plastic in the photos.

That could be a generalisation for many guitarist's sig models depending on personal taste though couldn't it?

Signature models are probably not top of mind when you're flat out filling stadiums and smashing the charts. Probably more of an extra revenue stream or dream-come-true kind of thing to start thinking about a guitar with your name on it.

Not really, he hasn't produced anything of note since the mid 90s!
