Get rid of the "&t" off the end

Poo! Why won't it link properly?
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

Perhaps I should finish watching before commenting.

I can never make it past the 30 second mark with these kind of things. There is nothing to chat with a strat, get one and play it

Re: Strat chat
I had a strat moment.
It was an awesome strat but damn, you really are tethered to some super over-done sounds.
I put fralin Hot vintages in it and it smoked! I also put two 36th Anni's wired up like a PRS and that was an incredible tone.
Then I decided I wasn't gay after all, and sold it.

It's a tone I've never really appreciated until now, so it's all kinda new and exciting for meTmcB wrote:I had a strat moment.

Re: Strat chat
Don't let me turd on your parade, I just went through a similar process.
The upside is that if you're wanting to nail specific tones from artists that are renowned for using strats, you'll get there with ease and be chuffed – if you want John Frusciante, SRV, Knopfler tones, they're all in there. The downside is that trying to get away from them is hard.
Also, as a guy that uses way too many double stops I got annoyed with the floating trem, even though mine had one of those tremsetter things. I like floating bridges and trem use too so it was hard. I really liked the tones I got out of it when it was set up with 2x humbuckers as well.
In the end, however I had it set up, I always wanted the opposite – if I had mine blocked I'd want floating trem, if it had humbuckers I'd want singles and vice versa. When I had it blocked and humbuckered I'd ask myself why I wasn't playing my SG then go play that. If I had it single coiled and getting annoyed at double stops ruining my trem, or accidentally knocked into the hateful in-between settings, I'd look at my Tele and go play that.
In the end I figured out that a PRS with all the awesome switching combos was what I wanted along side my Tele and P90'd SG
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Strat chat
There's not much cliche about operating on that searing bridge pickup though, 90% of what I do is there. Tone control wired into the bridge is a good thing, chip the edge off a little.

Absolutely, and that's where I lived. Don't get me wrong, Strats are great but I think you have to be a better player than I to take advantage of all they offer.calling card wrote:There's not much cliche about operating on that searing bridge pickup though, 90% of what I do is there.
