1) The tails left on the strings ready to prick your fingers as you re-tune.

2) Its not hanging on my wall now.
Yep cut those bloody tails off and I hope you have less than one winding on those tuners!
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Haha I was a little worried that I'd need some extra string, never used those locking tuners types before. They have been since trimmed though... and yes there's not even a single wiring on any of them. Bloody great!

I have first set of locking tuners I have ever owned on the 245. Pretty sure I would want them on every guitar now. Stringing up is tidy and easy. Can also take the strings off easily for things like the fret polish I did the other day, then put them back on because they had plenty of life left in them. Schaller I think. Down side is they sometimes can be tricky to get the string thru the hole. The clamp or whatever it is inside it does not always open up. High geared too, so slightest bump and they go out of tune, but non locking with same gearing would do that too.

I put locking tuners on my SG (previously an ETune) and they are great, I would love them on my other guitar too at some point.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

They're bloody good, wish a couple of my Strats had them haha. Don't know if it's anything to do with the cold temperatures but they seem to be a bit sharp lately which is odd - most guitars I have owned always end up drifting slightly flat which I'm sure is the norm.

If the temp goes up then they go flat, if the temp goes down they go sharp in my experience. Makes sense too when you think about it, metal strings contracting when colder etc.

Yeah I got them because I was sick of the Les Paul G string tuning issue. Way less string breakage and stretching in - You'll still have problems with contraction and expansion ;)
