A nice young collector in Auckland has this now, complete with the 1953 pickups in it.

R7 Ltd Edition. Thanks to those that talked me out selling this a few years back.

2016 R8, Washed Cheery VOS. Looks less red in the flesh.

Stock pu's ?

Good to see the healthy presence of wraptails ( my personal preference)

Had a Custom, a Classic, and a Traditional. Never a Standard unless I count the 70s Ibby one. Bucket list. As much as I love a good Les Paul tho, I think the price of a true historic would get me a 2017 Triumph Bonnie. Can't ride a guitar.

I love wrap tails too. Both the R9 and R7 have Throbak MXV101+ sets in them. The R7 is aggressive and big sounding, the R9 is articulate, honky and very responsive. Given the pickups are the same every other difference is in the guitars...design, wood, etc.

You've uploaded as an attachment, I have linked to a pic hosting site (imgur in my case - many others though).

You can get bigger from the latter.

Here's mine, for the eagle-eyed, it has quite a few changes.
