Buggrit, this thread needs less flame...
It is a '72 deluxe, with a very rare factory sweet cherry red finish (not to be confused with wine red). It is not heavy, weighs 9lbs. Lollar Imperials fitted, the volume pots are push-pull to split the coils and the tone pots are push-pull to swap the tone capacitor values (moving it from thick to bright tone).

Looks to be a similar colour to mine. Does it have a bit of metallic to it?

No metallic hues whatsoever, but it is a bit transluscent, and the shade is pinker than you usually see on (say) a 335. I must say, I like the metallic look yours has as well.

Since his conversion to a PRS fanboy, he's too embarrassed to show pics of that thing.GrantB wrote:Waiting for an updated picture of Dewey....opsguy?

Re: Show us your Lesters!!!
I have a stock standard Gold Top Traditional and just picked this up from a cool little shop in Hong Kong called Guitarsofa.
It's a Nash conversion Gibson. Basically a traditional thats had some upgrades and a relic style refinish. Don't know a whole lot about them and I know the relic thing isn't for everybody, but it plays great and sounds great and I dig the looks too. So all in all pretty happy.

I like those Nash conversions, he does great work. He usually changes the pickups too--lollars or the SD jazz and JB combo...what does yours have?

Re: Show us your Lesters!!!
I love relic finishes, I have read a few about these LP USA models conversion to 59s etc, and they seem to look cool. I love the cracking on the finishes and tarnished hardware.bluesierra wrote:I have a stock standard Gold Top Traditional and just picked this up from a cool little shop in Hong Kong called Guitarsofa.

Is that the stock colour or did he refin it as well? Cool looking burst!

Re: Show us your Lesters!!!
I always thought deluxe would have the mini hb stock. I see some with HB but were routed at a latter time. But I guess that colour and a HB spec would make the exception.olegmcnoleg wrote:Buggrit, this thread needs less flame...
