Nice. How much of that body is hollowed out? Bit of a crack in the top?

Yeap, it does look cool like that. Is wow/rare/collectible? If not, could you go for a non original fender colour? Black and Olympic white are a bit boring eh :-) If you're going to paint yourself, you could go for something a bit special. I chose something from the international series for my telemaster. It's a unique colour, but still something that fender have used in the past.

Is that round plate in the neck pocket for adjusting the neck angle?

No - that's the new propitiatory HD500 plugin - all the cool guitars have got them nowdays! :-)

That guitar has been broken into three pieces. Top came off, bottom almost off completely. Well repaired and I would say a very long time ago. It's a real beater.

did you see the lollar wide range pickups on trademe 6 weeks ago? They would have been perfect for this build.

They would be great - but not as great as the originals! Other than the pink respray (of impossible to shift Krylon, 1mm thick), it's 100% stock.
