I'd stay away from high end gear period. The biggest selling amps in NZ 10 years ago were..........................Samick as they were all priced at $895 and much less, sold loads of 'em.Brand amps were Peavey Fender and Marshall pretty much in that order. Now that there's the them and us thing with Rockshop and Musicworks stores selling their own lines I think Fender and Marshall might be top of the tree as there's such a diverse range in those brands.
Doin' that scrapyard thing.

yea the curt mangan strings are great.... its been over a week and my high E string still shines...
only this i dont like is the low E string which gives a "twangy" sound.... maybe because its a .50

I find that anything less than a .60 on my E will give me a 'fender sound'.
So basically, shite.

I hate having a hollow sound.
