I'm just wondering how they change the strings on that thing. Or maybe they think by the time you break the strings you're good enough to get a real guitar.

They're silicone and never break - no not what you're thinking I mean the 'strings' on the self playing guitar - all they ever need is a little talc from time to time. There was a similar bass about a decade or so back - despite huge endorsement it never took off.

Oh yes they did mate - LOL!! Have a look at Christine Keeler or Mandy Rice-Davies!

No the LP's generally (some of course did) back then did not have that superb flame (it was the LP customs that were all black) - remember seeing a couple in Birmingham UK music shop about 1968 and thinking 'um the fabulous LP's - so what??'

Of ourse the price of 175 pounds was also 'fabulous' back then - you could get a top of the line Hofner for 30!!! even a tele was 99!!

Whoops the cheesecake memories have obviously affected me - sorry; the LP Customs I saw back then (60's) were all black with 3 pickups - it was the 'normal' LP's that were plain - or goldtop of course.

I have to agree. I saw lots of LPs back then and they were all black. Never saw one with a finish as tenth as nice as that one!
