It's becoming a mite disturbin' how close our tastes are.olegmcnoleg wrote:Nice, dibs on the Warhawk.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Show us your whole setup....
My view yesterday of tracking for The Whiskey Show at The Armoury.
I play guitar in the live room and not in the control room because I like the interaction between cabs and guitar and the resonance and "feedback loop", plus its inspiring to play rock music when you can literally physically feel it.
I'm wearing headphones that have amix of the band in them with a console next to me where I can control the mix.
Signal chain is a stereo set-up. Guitar -> pedalboard -> EVH pre-amp -> EVH FX send -> Flashback Ping Pong Delay -> Poweramp return of EVH in to EVH 4x12, and the poweramp return of the Orange Rockerverb 100 in to the Marshall Cab.
We worried that the 100W vs the 50W would create too much volume difference, and if we would get phasing issues, but he higher rated cab of the Marshall sounded just right, and we didn't have to adjust anything once we fired up!
Andy Timmons runs this type of setup, where the pre-amp of one amp goes to the poweramp of two amps.
Sounds mega and because it doesn't sound like 2 amps, but more like one amp across a huge sound stage (Amp 1 is panned left and Amp 2 in panned right, so the delays bounce but the overall sound is right in the middle), there's not a really a need to do double tracking unless we really want to and have time to.

yeah this (I assume is the case)StratMatt wrote:That’s epic af. So does the flashback route the signal to both amps?
was there any ground loop issues? every time I try to run a stereo rig with my EVH I get massive ground loop squealing (even with an ab/y pedal with a ground lift and phase switch)....if I turn the gain to basically nothing then its ok, but then un usable for rock/metal tones
If Less is More Then Just Think How Much More More would be

Yes to the ground loop issues, but only hiss, and I sorted it with a Noise Gate. I'm gonna try adding a ground lift in the run to the second amp today.

Re: Show us your whole setup....
Not quite the whole setup, but I figured it’d be a good move of sorts to take pictures of the hoard.
1994 Korean goldtop - not much epiphone left though,
‘17 (2018 model lol) SE santana,
2005 dot
2005 classic 60s tele - not much fender left here either got it for my 16th birthday. Was white in its first life, 1980? Aria sg copy bass - graduation present. and arirang 70s neck through whatever.
My matching cricket bats cort space g2, and cort space ... b2? Probably.
Aaaaand a really juxtaposed picture.
Samick c2 (greg bennett thing) + fender grand concert short scale type deal acoustic - 23rd birthday. Also cricket bats.
Ok that’ll do.

I'm a big fan of your work on your goldtop. have you dulled the goldtop finish a bit?

Re: Show us your whole setup....
Ahh yip, finish I did.
That was ... a scouring pad on a palm sander, then some super fine wet and dry paper - like 1500 and 2000, done wet.
Got the car buffer out after that - cutting compound, then polish and wax.
Edit: seems an alright method for dulling super omg wtf glossy ass poly finishes.
