SAFB
2 newies to rack. 1st up: 2012 Firebird studio 70s...tribute ? 1st Minihum equipped. Bloody love them in this guitar. The James Bond of guitars, well to me. Chunky neck. All my other stuff has thinish 60s profile or thinner like RGs. Sexy comfy body with a solid finish that looks beterer with 20 years of rock n roll under it belt. No neck dive at all. I use DSL straps which will shoulder lock instantly any how. Thunderbird bass used to be horidibel.
Quick thanks to Mr Dharmajester who made this evening possible. Champion.
Guitar 2: late 80s Yamaha SA700.
What a lady. Big bottom, narrow flank, healthy upper bouts. Sold a perfectly good 339 a year or 2 back. The dimensions just didnt do it for me. This is way better. Absolutely oringinal. Recognised the same gear/parts as the SG1000. 335 in near mint cond. A good full neck, good palm filler. Again getting used to it but very much enjoying playing. The ol buutah spreads from the 1st fret to the 22nd. Restringed with 11s. Good pickups so far. 1st power up was last night for an hour. Another bashing tonight.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Just to confirm, its not a guitar I'm longing to have back. My epi 339 has long since filled the void, better in both size, shape and since it has a bigsby - whamminess Just wonderin'

I worry about my memory as I've absolutely no recollection of that... Re: SAFB
You remember. We thought the bridge might be collapsing so you bought a faber locking bridge from me that I in turn had from Grant. Subsequently the bridge proved to be fine so unless you sold it on you'll have a Faber locking bridge in your parts box as a reminder.Molly wrote:I worry about my memory as I've absolutely no recollection of that...
