Man that’s lovely! Yep think they nailed the Traditional with this one, and the ‘59 Tribute pickups are really good; most people seem to consider them to be better than the the ‘57’s. Lucky for me I really like the neck profile, it certainly has some girth, ahem.slash-ed wrote:Had a bit of a play yesterday/today and... loving it. Great guitar, I could have done without such a fat neck but I'll live.
The '59 Tribute pickups are great, such a pity they were only available this model year. They have a honk and a bite to them that 57 Classics just don't have.
Here's a quick pic of mine.

Must be hard work disliking so many guitars... and not liking anything else that's not blue. I don't get why someone would come into an 'NGD' thread and say something negative when someone is obviously stoked with their new purchaseConway wrote:Gibson. Commiserations.
Anyhow each to their own, but this is quickly turning turning into my favourite guitar I've ever had the good fortune to own.

Just like I'm expecting Bendy and Strummers to come and dump on my new PRS. I don't take it seriously.Conway wrote:It's just a long running joke. This is true, I have owned a number of Gibsons, Gretsches, a G&L and a Godin. However, I could turn that around and say they are the evidence on which I formed my "don't like anything beginning with a G" opinion.slash-ed wrote:I know your dark past anyway, I've seen G-branded guitars in your very abode!!

With only one girl available, he’s not too fussed on the gender of which smurf to go for. The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

He did write:
“It sounds incredible too, by the way. I feel a new avatar might be due...”
In his NGD thread. Who would have guessed the double meaning!?

Couple of pics I took tonight showing the flame this thing has, none of the other photos really showed it off very well...
