Re: HNAD x3
You sold the best Friedman amp to me
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Dirty Shirley Mini. Impossible to get a bad tone out of that amp. Think I sold it when I had a brace of Friedman so I kept the big one.AiRdAd wrote:which one was that?sizzlingbadger wrote:You sold the best Friedman amp to me
I love the OTT of that. BE100 for the band and a loud-as-ewt 50w Friedman for home use.Jim.h wrote:I got one of these for home use, killer amp! well done.Molly wrote:It never rains...
Mine's also for home use of course. That and the annual Gearfest. The guy I got it from plays in a blues band is away this weekend to a blues festival up Auckland way somewhere. WTF am I doing down here?

Just been to collect the McFly from Fastway. Well, the head made it but the cab is MIA. Typical Fastway. They really don't make it easy.... Anyway, at least the amp arrived. What a beautifully put together bit of kit.

Tin arse!!

Never understood why (according to the TV ads) Speights is supposedly drunk by strong, rugged, outdoorsy Southern blokes. I’m sure they’d be after something with a bit more kick than a strong cup of tea.

What’s the tubes in it, are they all Chinese or actually half decent?Molly wrote:Arrived today. Marshall Origin 50 head to pair with my THD cab. Huge thanks to RS Dave for the deal on this one. Not a high-gain Marshall particularly but if you want to Kossoff the night away, it's perfect. Has a two button footswitch for the loop and gain boost. Variable wattage too. Sounds way, way better than it should for the money. Reassuringly weighty.

Weak watery beer was all that used to be available, Speights was fractionally less watery.
That and marketing.
Honestly if you want to prove how tough you are, try drinking a quantity of Steinlager original, toughing out the hangover is pretty epic.

Haven't the foggiest, sorry. Haven't removed the back. Spent the grand total of maybe half an hour on it (less time than it took to go buy it... LOL).Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:What’s the tubes in it, are they all Chinese or actually half decent?Molly wrote:Arrived today. Marshall Origin 50 head to pair with my THD cab.
