Minimal Gear Day (MGD) Thread
Since we have an excessive gear thread I thought we could go against the GAS and show off our minimal rigs... this is mine, quite a change from days of old, I now have 0 pedals, MIM Tele, my Ash body, Allparts neck, Telemaster, a coily lava cable and a Katana 50W. Madness.

Re: Minimal Gear Day (MGD) Thread
I have two electric guitars, a single channel amp and a Flint. That’s it, always.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

to be honest, I've picked up that gear more when I moved it to take a photo than I have all year...null_pointer wrote:Who are you. And how can you achieve music with such little assistance!

Re: Minimal Gear Day (MGD) Thread
I used to have about 4-5 different drive pedals.
I have a sackful of abbatron plugs, mogami cable.
And now...
1 pedal and 1 patch cable.

Re: Minimal Gear Day (MGD) Thread
Funnily enough I've almost come full circle, when I joined this forum I had one guitar, an M-Audio interface and guitar rig on my laptop... I'm nearly there, except the Katana is just so cheap and good I don't see the point in selling it!

Re: Minimal Gear Day (MGD) Thread
I've found myself in the same position as JB. I've managed to whittle my gear down to the essential 30 or so guitars.
1935 Martin D-45, 1942 Gibson Southern Jumbo,1950 Fender Broadcaster, 1954 Fender Strat, 1958 Gibson Moderne prototype, 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard.
1958 Fender twin, 1965 Vox AC30, 1966 Marshall JTM 45, 1977 Dumble OD Special.
Big black garbage bag full of original Klon Centaurs and TS808s.
