What makes it so good, Si?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

It has its own unique sort of tone to it that I've never heard before on a strat. Could be because I've never played a '63

The attention to detail on every part of the guitar is great. It's extremely light and very comfy to play

I would have thought the different scale length would change the tone somewhat
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Prs tend to come with 9s; makes the feel a bit sloppier, that’s all I’ve really noticed.

Stop all this jibber jabber!

Proper PRSs ship with 10s, including this model. And the scale length is 25.5".

Phil is bringing it up to Auckland next week, so I hope we can give it a try side-by-side against my (current) ultimate Strat, a Tom Anderson Classic.

Also, I note that a small number are now popping up on Reverb as being in stock with dealers (there are still a lot of pre-order only though). Unfortunately, due to all the US investors trying to repatriate their funds thanks to Trumpnado's trade chaos, the US$ is getting more expensive...

Careful now.

Older usa models also shipped with 9s. Source: CU22 artist model, CU22 semi hollow, both 10 tops.

In the last century, yes. But they've shipped with 10s for quite a long time now. :moresarc:
